Please answer the following questions to the best of your ability. The more information you give me, the better understanding I have of the client’s needs in order to deliver the best possible end result. I will use this information to present two website design concepts and to start the draft for the villa book. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to let me know.

Bespoke Website

What is the primary purpose of this project?

e.g. To stay top of mind, gain more bookings, etc.

What exactly do our client wants for the viewers to do and feel upon visiting the website?

Another way to ask is this is — for this website, how do you think our client will measure its success? The more detailed, the better.

Who is the ideal client/target audience? How do they view websites?

From the Villa Book brief, there's a mention that our client's audience are high-end guests who appreciate customized experience, luxurious design, and attention to detail. This still qualifies a number of people with different personalities and taste. Let's dig deeper. Some guide questions: What's their age and average household income over 12 months? What are their core values? What's their style and where do they shop? Most importantly, what's their most basic problem that our client has solution for? This will help me narrow down the direction further and design intently for this audience.

Do we have any non-negotiable/must-have design elements you'd like me to note?

We talked about adding illustrations, and I also read from the brief about spanish revival doors, wines, olive tree and agave plants — are there anything else? In the brief, I also read about color & imagery — they're helpful, thank you! Taking notes.

What website designs don't you like?

This will help me know what to avoid.

You mentioned that Four Seasons Chiang Mai's website is our general inspiration of the clients ideal website experience. Which part/page are they pertaining to?

I'm assuming it's the integration of various leisure destinations throughout the property. Is that correct? Are there other features in this website they'd like to highlight?

Villa Book

To goal of this villa book is to showcase the amenities and insider knowledge of the rental property and the surrounding area. The book should evoke “luxury and exclusivity” and “bespoke”, with a sleek and elegant design and a touch of Palm Springs whimsy. It’s Aman meets The Parker Hotel.
